STARKEY GENESIS AI

From $1,900AUD

WIDEX MOMENT SHEER

From $2,150AUD

IMPLANTABLE DEVICES

Fully Covered Under Private Health Funds

Some hearing difficulty can’t be improved by amplifying sound. Technology allows sound to travel directly to the auditory nerve. At Hearing Innovations we have a variety of options to discuss including devices that suit all ages including infants.

We offer a variety of Cochlear Implants, Bone Conduction Implants (BAHA) and Vibrant Soundbridge Implants.

COCHLEAR IMPLANTS

Cochlear Implants are suitable for those who have lost hearing in one ear or for those that are no longer receiving enough benefit from hearing aids.Cochlear implants mimic the natural hearing function of the inner ear through electronic stimulation of the auditory nerve.

There are four brands of cochlear implants available in Australia:

  • Cochlear Ltd

  • Med-El

  • Advanced Bionics

  • Oticon Medical

Hearing Innovations’ audiologists have been working with cochlear implants since 2006.  Our audiologists are experienced in evaluating cochlear implant candidacy and cochlear implant rehabilitation.

Hearing Innovations’ patient, Margaret Carroll from Port Macquarie, speaks about how she lost her hearing, her experience with tinnitus and how a cochlear implant changed her life…

BONE CONDUCTION IMPLANTS

Bone Conduction Implants, also known as Bone Anchored Hearing Aids (BAHA), are suitable for those who have lost hearing in one ear or for those with a permanent conductive hearing loss.

The bone conduction implant functions to transmit sound to the normally functioning inner ear by bypassing the conductive hearing loss or transferring the sound to the better ear.

There are three brands of bone conduction implants available in Australia:

  • Cochlear Ltd

  • Med-El

  • Oticon Medical

Hearing Innovations’ audiologists can evaluate whether the bone conduction implant is suitable for you to improve your hearing.  We can also arrange a trial of a bone conduction device to provide an idea of the likely benefit you will receive.

VIBRANT SOUNDBRIDGE IMPLANT

The Vibrant Soundbridge is suitable for those who have aidable inner ear hearing and conductive hearing losses.

The Vibrant Soundbridge functions to mechanically vibrate the middle ear structures. This stimulation provides excellent sound quality without blocking the ear canal.

The Vibrant Soundbridge is manufactured by Med-El.

Hearing Innovations’ audiologists can assess whether a Vibrant Soundbridge implant is an option for you to improve your hearing.

HEARABLES

Hearables are devices worn in or around the ear, designed to enhance the listening experience. The primary uses are increasing sound levels of quiet or distant sounds and listening to music. Hearables are intended for those with normal hearing and do not replace hearing aid amplification. However, they may assist those who are not yet ready for hearing aids, or those with minimal hearing loss.
