Hearing Innovations is now an accredited provider of the Lyric hearing device by Phonak. Lyric is the world’s first 100% invisible hearing device which is placed entirely inside your ear canal. It is worn 24/7 and requires no daily maintenance. Our Lyric trained audiologist will assess your suitability for the device, including hearing loss, ear size and shape, medical conditions and lifestyle to determine if Lyric is the right choice.

Cochlear Implants

Cochlear implants may be recommended for those people who do not get sufficient benefit from traditional hearing device amplification.
Unlike hearing aids, which amplify sound, a cochlear implant bypasses the damaged part of the ear and stimulates the hearing nerve directly. Approximately 200,000 people worldwide now have benefited from a cochlear implant.
Our audiologists will evaluate your hearing levels both with and without hearing devices to determine if you are a candidate for a cochlear implant.

Bone Conduction Implants

These devices are designed for people with permanent middle ear hearing loss and for people with a single sided total deafness. The system utilises one of the body’s natural pathways for sound with direct bone conduction.

Assistive Listening Devices (ALD)

These devices provide assistance when listening in particular situations. They can be used alone as in telephone headphones and personal amplifiers. They can also be used in conjunction with a hearing device, such as an FM system. This helps reduce the distance between the sound source and you, while at the same time, reducing some of the interfering background noise.
